Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Judy Parker as the Chief Justice of the Seventh Court of Appeals. Her term will last until December 31, 2026.
Parker is currently serving as the Place 2 Justice on the Seventh Court of Appeals. She has been involved with the Texas Tech University School of Law American Inn of Court as a founding member and judicial master, and serves as a director for the Panhandle Family Law Association. Her professional affiliations include membership in the State Bar of Texas, Lubbock Area Bar Association, The Federalist Society, and Amarillo Area Bar Association. In addition to her legal roles, she acts as a trustee for The CH Foundation, is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lubbock, and participates in First Baptist Church – Lubbock.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Government from Angelo State University and earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law.
