Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Trevino’s term will last until February 1, 2029. The board oversees the regulation of social work practice in Texas.

Marco Trevino is a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C., based in Edinburg. He serves as board president of the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley and is a member of both the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in social work from the University of Texas – Pan American.
