Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Scott Olguin to the Texas Real Estate Commission, with a term ending on January 31, 2031. The commission is responsible for protecting the public in transactions involving real estate brokers and salespersons.

Olguin, who resides in Horseshoe Bay, is currently a vice president at Dimensional Fund Advisors. His previous roles include serving as a firefighter with the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department and as director for the Central Texas Electric Cooperative. He also served in the Texas State Guard until his honorable discharge in 2010.
