The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced an extension for the registration deadline for its 2025 Retirees Conference. The event is scheduled to take place from October 20 to 22, 2025, at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The new deadline for registration is Monday, September 15, 2025. The conference will focus on the theme “Leaders and Legends,” which aims to recognize the contributions of retirees while encouraging continued involvement within the union.

According to IAM, “This year’s theme, ‘Leaders and Legends,’ will honor the contributions of our retirees while energizing and empowering us for the work ahead.”

Organizers describe the event as both a conference and a celebration of solidarity among current and future retirees from across North America. Participants are expected to engage in community-building activities, share experiences, and discuss strategies to increase retiree engagement within IAM.

“This gathering is more than just a conference; it is also a celebration of solidarity and strength. Retirees and future retirees from across North America will come together to build community, share experiences, and strategize on how to elevate retiree engagement within our union,” IAM stated.

Attendees can expect guest speakers, breakout sessions focused on key topics for retirees, and opportunities for networking with other members who have contributed to IAM’s history. A special tour of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center is planned as part of the program on Wednesday, October 22.

“You can expect dynamic guest speakers, thought-provoking breakout sessions, and the opportunity to connect with fellow IAM members who have helped shape our proud history. As a highlight of the event, we’ll take a special tour of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday, Oct. 22. This will be an experience you won’t want to miss,” according to organizers.

Both conference attendance and hotel reservations must be completed by September 15 under the extended deadline.
