IAM Midwest Territory sponsors ‘Salute to the Military’ hockey night in Moline

Locals and Districts of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Midwest Territory will sponsor a “Salute to the Military” hockey game featuring the Quad City Storm on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event will take place at Vibrant Arena in Moline, Illinois.

The IAM Union Hockey Night will include activities such as Chuck-a-Puck, a live player jersey auction, and tributes to veterans. All proceeds from the event are designated for Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC), which is identified as the IAM Union’s preferred charity.

Ahead of the game, a Paint the Ice event is scheduled for Monday, November 3. Supporters can participate by having a veteran’s name painted on the ice as a form of recognition.

Sponsorships for the event are available. Checks should be made payable to GDA with “Hockey Game” noted in the memo line and sent to IAM District 6 at 2000 Walker Street, Ste. JDes Moines, IA 50317.

The sponsorship comes from several IAM groups: IAM Union Veteran Services, District 6; Locals 1728, 1010, 388, and 1191 (Goalie Sponsors); and Locals 254, 821, 1526, 1293, 1045, 1238, and 31 (Wingman Sponsors).
