The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced its continued support for members and their families during the holiday season, a period that can present unique challenges. The union is reminding its members about the availability of two separate Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), both offering confidential, round-the-clock support.

In addition to these programs, IAM highlighted other resources available to anyone in need. The National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline can be reached by dialing 988, sending a text to 988, or visiting 988lifeline.org for assistance via text. In emergencies where immediate help is required, individuals are encouraged to call 911.

IAM stated: “As we move through the holiday season, we wish every member and their families a happy holidays. We support you, your family, and your loved ones through what can be a challenging time.”

The union’s message emphasizes the importance of mental health support during the holidays and aims to ensure that all members are aware of accessible resources.
