IKEA U.S. has launched its first cross-brand retail experience by partnering with Best Buy in select Texas and Florida stores. The collaboration aims to provide a more affordable and accessible customer experience.

On November 5, 2025, IKEA opened a Plan and order point inside the Best Buy store at 4970 W Highway 290 in Austin, Texas. This initiative allows IKEA to offer kitchen planning services to a wider audience. Through this partnership, customers can integrate Best Buy appliances designed for American preferences into their IKEA kitchens.

The shop-in-shop is staffed by IKEA employees who assist customers in designing their spaces. Shoppers can also browse appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and laundry machines. The showroom features approximately 1,000 square feet of kitchen and laundry room displays.

According to both companies, this joint retail effort demonstrates their commitment to providing home furnishing solutions and modern appliances in one location. Customers work with an IKEA associate to design their living space and have furnishings shipped directly to their homes rather than taking products home immediately.

More information about the South Austin Plan & order point is available on the official IKEA website.
