Indeed has announced it is seeking a subtenant for 118,185 square feet at Domain Tower, located at 10721 Domain Drive in Austin. The space, which covers the top four floors of the 11-story building, is being marketed by Savills and broker Todd Chessher, according to the Austin Business Journal.

This move continues Indeed’s trend of reducing its office footprint in the Domain, a North Austin business district that hosts companies such as Amazon, Meta, and Vrbo. Indeed currently leases the entire Domain Tower as well as the nearby Domain Gateway building, which spans 183,000 square feet at 2900 Esperanza Crossing. The company is also the primary tenant at the 36-story Indeed Tower in downtown Austin, where it is trying to sublease nearly 98,000 square feet.

Across Austin, Indeed controls nearly 800,000 square feet of office space and is now marketing about 216,000 square feet for sublease. This represents a significant portion of the approximately 4.1 million square feet of sublease space currently available in the city.

Indeed said in a statement that it regularly reviews its office needs based on employee requirements. The company has already secured subtenants for parts of Domain Gateway, including Dun & Bradstreet and Zonda. Three floors at Domain Gateway remained available until earlier this year, when they were removed from the market in February, according to CoStar data.

The changes in Indeed’s office strategy reflect broader trends in Austin’s commercial real estate market. An increase in new office deliveries and ongoing hybrid work policies have contributed to a record amount of sublease space. Similar moves have been seen across the tech sector, with companies like Meta and Google also adjusting their real estate commitments.

David Rudick, vice president of real estate at Indeed, said last year that maintaining two main hubs in Austin—downtown and the Domain—was intended to provide flexibility and improve commutes for employees. That approach remains in place for now.
