Partners Real Estate has announced the appointment of Peter Mainguy as executive managing director for its services business in Texas. The firm stated that Mainguy will be based at Partners’ Houston headquarters and will also become an equity partner.

According to the release, Mainguy will collaborate closely with John O’Neill, who leads the Southeast region for Partners and is a former Cushman & Wakefield executive.

Mainguy previously spent almost ten years at CBRE, serving as senior managing director for the Houston and Louisiana markets. Before his most recent role at CBRE, he was head of global real estate at Sysco Corporation, where he managed a 46 million-square-foot portfolio across North America, Europe, and Asia. His LinkedIn profile indicates this was his second tenure at CBRE; he earlier worked as vice president of brokerage services for five years before joining Sysco.

“Mainguy’s hire reflects Partners’ effort to expand across the Lone Star State and cement its presence on the national stage,” according to the release.

Earlier this year, Partners expanded its team by hiring several office leasing professionals from Cushman & Wakefield. In March, Chip Colvill, Michael Anderson, Win Haggard, and Damon Thames joined as equity partners. Brad Beasley, Diana Bridger, and Connor Saxe came aboard as senior vice presidents. Colvill leads the team and previously founded Colvill Office Properties before it was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in 2020.

Founded in 1997, Partners is a privately-owned commercial real estate company operating throughout the Sun Belt region with offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Atlanta. The firm’s activities include brokerage, property management, valuation and project management through its services division. Additionally, it operates investment and development arms that have completed industrial, retail and office projects within the Texas Triangle.
